Will Taylor Swift attend the Chiefs game Thursday against the Ravens? What we know
View Date:2025-01-20 00:55:03
The NFL regular season is back and for Swifties new to the sport that means keeping an eye on whether Taylor Swift will touch down in Kansas City for Thursday's home game.
Scheduling-wise, the odds for Swift attending are likely. She is on a two-month break from her record-breaking Eras Tour and not due back to the stage until Oct. 18 in Miami. Her next event is the VMAs in New York City on Sept. 11, where she is nominated for 10 awards.
Swift may be able to make 14 Chiefs games in the regular season starting with Thursday's matchup against the Baltimore Raves. The singer-songwriter attended 13 games last year, culminating in the Chiefs winning the Super Bowl. The singer cheers from the suite section overlooking Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City to support boyfriend Travis Kelce, who attended 13 international Eras Tour concerts.
From Chiefs fan to honorary coach?
Quarterback Patrick Mahomes went viral last week after telling NBC's Chris Simms that Swift is looking to mastermind some plays.

"She's really interested in football, and she asks a lot of great questions," he said. "She started drawing up plays; we might have to put one in."
Kelce confirmed Swift's fascination with football Tuesday while appearing on "The Rich Eisen Show."
“I think what makes her so good in her profession is that she’s so detailed in every aspect of it, from the words to the music to even the releases and the music videos and everything," he said. "She’s so detailed and a part of it that I think she was just curious about the profession. I know none of the plays have gotten to Coach (Andy) Reid yet, but if they ever do, I’ll make sure everyone knows it was her creation."
Chiefs lean in to Swiftie craze
The Kansas City Chiefs are kicking off the first game with a pregame show, the World's Largest Tailgate, hosted by comedian Rob Riggle. Among a series of games and competitions, the 60-minute show will feature a head-to-head competition to see which team can make the most Chiefs-colored friendship bracelets.
Making and swapping friendship bracelets is a craze within the Swiftie community. All the bracelets made before the Chiefs and Ravens faceoff will be donated to the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Kansas City. The pregame show begins at 5 p.m. CT on chiefslive.com.
